At Hemmer Vineyards we look at every aspect of growing the grapes and making the wine to understand the impact we are having on the world. We know certain traditions appeal to many of you but we also are willing to challenge other long held practices, evaluate the outcomes, and weigh these against the impact we are having on the environment, our customers, and our community.

We don’t have an extensive lifecycle analysis audited by some large accounting firm. We don’t even have the popular (and costly) farming certifications. But what we do have is a common-sense approach of making choices for our farming and winemaking. We believe its these choices that have a material impact while being easily observable by our stakeholders.

Please take a moment to understand the infographics for Farming and Winemaking and you will see how choosing Hemmer Vineyards is a responsible decision for the world we live in. You may be surprised how some traditions of old (cork closures) are the most responsible choice but also how many decisions have impact if we are willing to challenge the norms.
